Khmer Actress Wins Big at Asia Top Awards While Showing Cambodian Spirit

THAILAND: On the red carpet at the Asia Top Awards in Thailand this year, Khmer actress Shin Yubin represented Cambodia in a hand-embroidered dress with a traditional almond flower pattern that weighed nearly 10 kg, as well as jewellery with Khmer script on display.

Shin Yubin won the award for Best Actress of the Year at the 2023 Asia Top Awards on July 3. She made Cambodians proud by showcasing their script and artistry.

After receiving the award, Sin Yubin expressed her gratitude on social media, "Today's success is not just for me, but for the whole Cambodian nation. We are all proud to be Khmer.”

Actor Khat Vaihang received the Most Popular Actor of the Year award. "These are from all the fans, thank you for giving us strength,” he said, “We got best actor and actress from Asia Top Award 2023!"
